Fuel Systems FUEL TANKPUMP SERVICE
Fuel Tank Front Flange-Type Fuel Pump WARNING
PROPOSITION 65 WARNING Snowmobile engines discharge fuel and exhaust which contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm, onto the snow on which they operateKeep this engine properly tuned and avoid unnecessary idling and spillage during fuelingDo not smoke or allow open flames or sparks in or near the area where refueling is performed or where gasoline is stored or usedDo not overfill the tank past the bottom of the filler neckIf you get gasoline in your eyes or if you swallow gasoline, see your doctor immediatelyNever start the engine or let it run in an enclosed areaGasoline powered engine exhaust fumes are poisonous and can cause loss of consciousness and death in short timeIf you spill gasoline on your skin or clothing, immediately wash it off with soap and water and change clothing1Remove the fuel from the fuel tankStore the fuel in an appropriate fuel-holding container2Remove the following components: Seat Assembly Console (Loosen fasteners, then lift console away from tank and set to the side Air box3If electric start is installed, disconnect the negative (-) cable, the positive (+) cable from the battery4Relieve the fuel pressureSee "Fuel Rail BleedingPressure Testing" on page 4.385Unplug the fuel pump electrical connector6Remove the fuel hoses from the fuel pumpSee "Disconnect Fittings" on page 4.397Remove the fasteners securing the fuel tank to the tunnel891011Remove the fuel tank from the chassisPlace the fuel tank is well-ventilated areaRemove and discard the six fuel pump flange screwsCarefully extract the fuel pump assembly out of the tank
