Fuel Systems 10If replacing the TPS, replace it now with new part11Open and close the throttle plates to times to ensure plates are completely closed14Digital Wrench will now perform the TPS BASE SETTING procedureTo do this, slowly rotate the TPS until the specified TPS BASE SETTING VOLTAGE is established
12Digital Wrench will ask if the throttle plate synchronization requires adjustmentSelect: "OPTION 1-THROTTLE SYNCIS OK"unless it is clearly evident that the throttle plates are out of synchronization
TPS BASE SETTING VOLTAGE ALL 600700800 CFI ENGINES .693.698.703.708 VDC
NOTE: The nominal TPS Base Setting is .698VDC15When the correct TPS base setting voltage is established, the CONTINUE button will turn from RED to GREENWhen this occurs, carefully tighten the TPS screws to 31 In.Lbs(3.5 Nm)Verify the voltage has not changed16Open and close the throttle platetimes and verify the voltage is still within specification17Click on the green CONTINUE buttonDigital Wrench will perform the IDLE SET ADJUSTMENT
