Maintenance NOTE: If the idle speed screw is adjusted inward and the cable sleeve is not adjusted to take up the throttle lever clearance, the engine may misfire or kill upon initial throttle opening
Choke Lever AdjustmentMikuni VM
1Flip the choke toggle to the "OFF" position
2Loosen choke cable lock nut(s)
5Secure the adjuster lock nut(s)6Slowly turn each idle speed screw inward until the tip begins to touch the throttle slideRemove the drill bit(s)7Set the throttle lever free play by loosening both carburetor adjuster lock nutsTurn each adjuster out equally until the throttle lever free play is set
