THROTTLE AND CHOKE CABLE ADJUSTMENTS
Idle Speed GapThrottle Free Play AdjustmentVM Carburetors CAUTION
When adjusting throttle lever free play, always verify the engine idle RPM does not increase when turning the handle bar to the full-left or full-right positionsAfter idle speed adjustments are made, the throttle lever clearance and oil pump adjustment must be checked and adjusted1Always set the idle speed when the engine is at operating temperature2Turn the idle speed adjustment screws on each carburetor out at least turns3Reference the throttle gap drill bit size specification for each engineInsert the drill bit(s) under each of the throttle slide cutaway(s)

The gap between the brake lever and handlebar grip should be equal to or more than 12 (1.27cm) when depressing the brake leverIf the gap is less than 12 (1.27cm), the brake system should be inspected and bled of any air within the fluid
