Battery Preparation
2006 models were supplied with sealed, maintenance-free batteryMaintenance-free batteries do not require electrolyte as they are filled and charged at the factory123When preparing new, maintenance-free battery for service, test the battery voltage with multi-meterIf the indicated voltage is 12.8Vdc or less, charge the battery with battery chargerApply dielectric grease to the battery terminals and install into snowmobile
OPEN CIRCUIT VOLTAGE TESTING (OCV)
Battery voltage should be checked with multi-meterReadings of 12.8Vdc or less require further battery testing and charging
