Maintenance OFF SEASON STORAGE
Storage Procedures
The following table outlines specific maintenance procedures that must be performed prior to "summerizing" or storing the snowmobile

PROCEDURE Change the engine oil and oil filterTop-off the tank with fresh fuelAdd Polaris Premium Fuel Stabilizer, PN 2870652Follow the mixing instructions on the bottle's label
Use coolant tester (commercially available) designed for Propolyne Gylcol to Cooling System test the freeze temperature of the engine coolantA 6040 mixture will yield -54F freeze temperatureRemove any road salt residue from the suspension components using mild detergent and clean waterAfter washing the components, grease all rear suspension pivot shafts with Polaris Premium All Season greaseChange the chaincase oilLubricate the driveshaft bearing retainer flange with Polaris Premium All Season greaseClean the chassis with mild detergent and clean waterRemove any foreign material from the engine compartment (sticks, debris, etcVerify the engine compartment is dryPolish the hood with wax or furniture polishRemove the battery from the snowmobile and store in cool, dry placeConnect battery tender to the battery to maintain the chargeVerify the snowmobile is drySpray metallic objects with T-9 Metal Protectant, or equivalentRemove the belt and store in cool, dry placeRemove any belt residue from the clutch faces Protect the snowmobile with durable cover
