NOTE: Inspect all parts for wear or damage during disassemblyIt is recommended to replace all seals, O-rings, and gaskets with Genuine Polaris parts during assemblyRefer to pages 2.10 through 2.20 for general inspection procedures1Remove carburetor mount adaptors, reed cages, stuffers, and oil pumpNote position of stator wire guide2Measure air gap between fiber reed and reed block as shownThe air gap should not exceed .015 (.38mm)If clearance is excessive DO NOT attempt to reverse the reeds to reduce the air gapAlways replace them if damagedCheck each fiber reed for white stress marks or missing materialReplace if necessaryMax Reed Pedal Clearance .015 (.38 mm)Exaggerated for illustration
