MAINTENANCE Chaincase Oil Level
The drive chain is continuously immersed in oilProper oil level is determined by checking the level on the dipstick with machine placed on level surfaceThe oil level should be between the "safe" marks on the dipstickAdd oil through dipstick opening to maintain proper levelUse Polaris chaincase oilDo not overfillPolaris Chaincase Lubricant Quart PN 2871280 Gallon PN 2870464 2.5 Gallon PN 2872281 Synthetic Chaincase Lubricant (80W) 12 oz PN 2872951 QtPN 2873105 Gallon PN 2873106 2.5 Gallon PN 2872952

Drive Chain TensionChaincase cover installed
To obtain correct chain tension: 1Elevate rear of machine so track is off floor2Rotate driven clutch counterclockwise to move all chain slack to the tensioner sideLock the brake lever3Loosen adjuster bolt jam nut4Finger tighten adjuster bolt until it can no longer be adjusted by hand5Back off adjuster bolt 14 turn6Tighten jam nut while holding adjuster bolt7The chain is now tensionedRelease brake lever lockIll1 Magnetic Plug
