FUEL SYSTEMCARBURETION
WARNING

Fuel spillage will occur during this installationGasoline is extremely flammable and explosive under certain conditionsDo not smoke or allow open flames or sparks in or near the area where refueling is performed or where gasoline is storedDo not weld or operate torch near the fuel systemRemove fuel tank before any chassis welding is performedIf you get gasoline in your eyes or if you swallow gasoline, see your doctor immediatelyIf you spill gasoline on your skin or clothing, immediately wash it off with soap and water and change clothingNever start the engine or let it run in an enclosed areaGasoline powered engine exhaust fumes are poisonous and can cause loss of consciousness and death in short time1Turn fuel valve off2Remove air silencer3Position shop cloth or container below drain plug and water trap plug4Remove drain plug and sealing O-Ring, or slide clamp upward and remove water trap plug5Drain waterfuelClean trap with electrical contact cleaner and dry with compressed air6Lightly grease O-ring and install water trap assembly into bottom of float bowl, or reinstall trap plug in hose and positionTighten securely7Turn fuel on, start engine and check for possible fuel leaks8Reinstall air boxThe water traps should be periodically inspected and drainedDraining frequency will depend upon fuel supply, riding conditions, and fuel handling precautionsWater Trap Plug Clamp Hose Drain Plug Float Bowl
