BRAKESFINAL DRIVE Drive System Driveshaft Installation, Cont2Insert driveshaft through bearing hole in bulkheadPlace inner driveshaft bearing flange bolts in the bulkhead3Insert chaincase side of driveshaft through bottom chaincase bearing4Tip machine uprightReplace speedometer key with new one and install angle driveTorque nuts to specificationSpeedometer Angle Drive Mounting Nut Torque 1517 ftlbs(21- 24 Nm)

5Link together the upper and lower chaincase sprockets with the chainInstall both the upper and lower sprockets and chain at the same timeFinger tighten the top sprocket nut and turn in bottom sprocket bolt until snugNOTE: On Hyvot sprockets, the beveled side goes toward the chaincase bearing6Install chain tensionerFinger tighten adjustment bolt7Install brake caliper assembly in chaincaseCAUTION: On models with hydraulic brakes, make sure caliper piston is fully retracted into caliper to prevent brake binding from preload of padsOn models equipped with mechanical brakes make sure cam is fully retracted8Torque caliper mounting bolts to specification
