BRAKESFINAL DRIVE Drive System
Rear Suspension Removal, Cont6Remove three bolts, nuts, and washers securing angle drive and bearing flangettesRemove and discard adaptor key7Remove four suspension mounting bolts8Place protective mat on floor and tip machine onto left side9Remove rear suspension by pulling rear of track outward and sliding suspension forwardLift out rear of suspension firstNOTE: Unhook the rear torsion springs to relieve pressure on the torque arm for ease of removalLoosen rear shaft bolts and adjuster bolts, slide rear shaft forward for ease of removal
Chaincase Removal
1Remove third jackshaft flangette attaching boltTip machine back to upright and support rear with jackstand2Remove chaincase cover attaching bolts and remove cover3Remove cotter pin and nut4Loosen chain adjustment bolt and remove chain tensioner assembly5Remove bottom sprocket attaching bolt, chain and sprockets6Remove two bolts securing caliper carrier bracket to chaincaseNOTE: Inspect brake pad condition and replace if worn to less than 12 the original thicknessSee Brake Pad Replacement in this chapter
