BODY AND STEERING Decal Removal and Installation Decal Removal
1Before removing old decal, it is important to note its position by marking it in several locations2Remove old decal completelyNOTE: small amount of solvent will aid in removing the old decal3The decals are UV basedIf heat will not remove decal, gently buff area with mild abrasiveUse 3M Scotch Brite Graphics Removal Discs with No1 Roloc and holder, or an equivalent low RPM buffing discCAUTION: Maintain 2500-3500 RPM to prevent damage to hood caused by excessive heat4Remove any remaining decal adhesive with citrus based cleaner or equivalent non-solvent based cleaner5Thoroughly clean area where the new decal will be installed using solution of mild soap (such as dishwashing liquid) and clean waterNOTE: Use approximately four ounces soap to one gallon water
