BODY AND STEERING Fuel Tank and Seat Removal WARNING

Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive under certain conditionsDo not smoke or allow open flames or sparks in or near the area where work is being performedIf you should get gasoline in your eyes or if you should swallow gasoline, see your doctor immediatelyIf you should spill gasoline on your skin or clothing, immediately wash if off with soap and water and change clothingProlonged exposure to petroleum based products may cause paint failuresAlways protect finished surfaces and wipe up any spills immediately
Two Piece Fuel TankSeat Removal
Remove tank cover by disconnecting snapsRemove vent line at front LH side of tankRemove gas cap and rubber grommetRemove air silencer boxDisconnect fuel line from fuel pump and plug line to prevent fuel spillage from tankSee photo one at right6Roll front tank hold-down spring forward off tank saddle7If machine is equipped with fuel gauge connector, this should be unplugged8Remove two bolts holding rear of seat to tunnel12345
