ENGINES 500 Domestic Case Reed Twin Assembly, Cont7Install mechanical seal guide (special tool) on end of pump shaftMechanical Seal Guide Tool 500 domestic engines 8.4mm: PN 2872010 8Lubricate seal guide and drive or press new mechanical seal into case until fully seated using the seal press tool9Lubricate all crankshaft bearings with Premium 2-Cycle or Premium Gold Engine Lubricant10Apply 13 oz(10 cc) cross shaft break-in lube to oil pump gearsOil Pump Cross Shaft Break-in Lube: PN 2872435ozPN 28724362.5 Gallon 11Install seals on crankshaft with spring facing inward (toward crankshaft)12Clean and de-grease lower crankcase and install crankshaft assembly, aligning seals and snap ring with grooves in case13Apply thin coating of 3-Bond 1215 sealant to lower crankcase mating surface14Install upper crankcase on lower crankcase
