ENGINE BREAK- IN PROCEDU RE

Performan ce Oil) at th recommended 40 :1 ra tio 2Remove drive belt, sta rt engine and llow the eng ine to idle at mod erately low idle for ppro ximately 3-5 minutes (do not exceed 4500 RPM)Be sure to check coolant level in surge tank to insure it is circu lating and th proper levelCautionid led too long, the engin may overheat3On the first running of th machine avoid sustained full th ro ttl acce leration Short bursts, three to five seco nds in length at full throttle is idealGradually incr ease his procedu re until accelerat ion period is approximately 10 secondsTen to fifteen minutes of this type of running shou ld be adequateBe sure that clutch is functioning properly and that he engine RPM oc not exceed recommended levelBe su re cooling syste is functioning properlyTh is is race machine designed for ova track racingFull hrottle running over long road or lakes co ld resu lt in dam age to both en gine and machine
