4Disconnect the wiring harness from the fuel pumpLabel the fuel hoses "supply" and "return"; then remove the hoses from the fuel pump
! CAUTION
Since the fuel supply hose may be under pressure, remove it slowly to release the pressurePlace an absorbent towel around the connection to absorb fuel
1Remove the console (see Console in this section)2Remove the two cap screws, washers, and lock nuts securing the gas tank to the seat-base3Remove the vent hose from the gas tank4Disconnect the wiring harness from the fuel pumpLabel the fuel hoses "supply" and "return"; then remove the hoses from the fuel pump
5Raise the rear of the seat high enough to disconnect the taillight wiring harness6Remove the gas tankseat assemblyINSTALLING (Trail Models)
