Testing Electrical Resistances (120 cc)
! NOTE: The following test procedure starts by testing the resistance fo the spark plug cap and working back to the stator under the flywheelReplace any component that does not have test value within specifications
2With the switch in the OFF position, the meter must read less than ohm of resistance3With the switch in the ON position, the meter must read OL (infinite resistance)
Testing Electric Fuel Pump

SPARK PLUG CAP

1Remove the spark plug cap from the high tension lead by rotating it counterclockwise2Set the selector in the OHMS position3Connect one tester lead to one end of the cap and the other tester lead to other end of the cap
1Remove the hardware securing the console to the gas tank and frame; then move the console out of the way2Disconnect the fuel pump (white two-wire connector) from the main wiring harness3Connect the positive lead of 12-volt power supply to the red wire and the negative lead of the 12-volt power supply to the black wire4The pump should operate (it would be heard running)! NOTE: If the fuel pump fails to operate, the pump is defective and must be replaced (see Section 4)
