12Move the air silencer far enough to the right to bypass the air silencer mounting bracket; then slide the air silencer rearward and disconnect the air temperature sensorRemove the air silencer from the chassis 15Split the protective foil at the seam of the air silencer; then remove the retaining clips securing the dual intake boot to the air silencer16Remove the seven machine screws and separate the air silencer halves17Inspect the air silencer thoroughly for any foreign material; then clean the air silencer with soap and waterDry the air silencer thoroughly prior to installingINSTALLING
1Join the air silencer halves and secure with the seven machine screws; then install the dual intake boot and secure with retaining clips2Install the air temperature sensorZJ015A
13Inspect the throttle valve thoroughly for carbon residue buildupIf there are signs of carbon buildup, the throttle body should be cleaned (see appropriate Throttle Body Assembly in Section 4)
! NOTE: Before installing the air silencer, make sure the gasline hose is routed over the air silencer
