Measuring Piston Skirt Cylinder Clearance
Installing Piston Rings (660 cc)
1Measure the cylinder front to back in six places using cylinder bore gaugeThe amount of wear is the difference between the largest and smallest readingsMeasurement must be within specificationsIf the determined wear exceeds the limit indicated, replace the cylinder block2Measure the corresponding piston diameter at point 19 mm (0.75 in for the 660 cc or 10 mm (0.4 in for the 1100 cc Z1 from the piston skirt end at right angle to the piston-pin borePiston diameter must be within specifications
1Install thin oil ring, oil ring expander, and thin oil ring in the bottom groove of the piston
