cCheck the clevis for freedom of movementIf the clevis binds, open it slightly with screwdriverWARNING brake operation may be erraticBe sure the clevis moves freely
If the clevis binds,

5Slide the brake cable into the slot of the cable bracketA flange nut (A, Figure 31) must be on both sides of the bracket6Center the cableMake sure the cable does not bind and is not kinked, then tighten the flange nuts securely7Attach the brake return spring (B, Figure 31) to the actuator arm and the bracket
