BRAKE, DRIVEN SHAFT, DROPCASE AND DRIVES HAFT
3Carefully lift the cover (2, Figure 9) while disengaging the cover from the end of the coil spring (3)4Carefully lift out the coil spring (3, Figure 9) without letting it uncoilUse tie wrap to prevent the coil spring from uncoiling5Unscrew the temporary setscrew in the housing6Extract the adjuster shaft (4, Figure 9)7Unscrew the adjuster screw (5, Figure 9)
Assembly
1Lightly lubricate the adjuster screw (5, Fig-
ure 9) with oilInstall the screw in the housing (7)Rotate the screw few turns2Note the flat on the side of the adjuster shaft (4, Figure 9)Install the adjuster shaft (4, Figure 9) around the adjuster screw (5) so the flat aligns with the threaded hole on the outside of the housing (7)Push the shaft down until it bottoms in the housing3Install an 8mm-32mm setscrew in the threaded hole in the side of the housing4Install the coil spring (3, Figure 9) by engaging the inner end in the slot on the adjuster shaft
