Inspection
1Check all the cooling hoses for flexibility and softness after the engine has cooledReplace hose that is brittle or hardAlso check hoses for cracks, abrasions, cuts or other conditions that might cause leak2With the engine hot, examine the hoses for swelling along the entire hose lengthEventually hose will rupture if softened by oil or heat3Check clamps (Figure 24) and the condition of the hose around the hose clamps for possible leakage
