each of its operating positions and comparing results with the switch operationWhen testing switches, observe the following: aWhen separating any connector, pull on the connector housings and not the wiresbAfter locating defective circuit, check the connectors to make sure they are clean, tight and properly joinedCheck all wires going into connector housing to make sure each wire is properly positioned and the wire is not broken and the terminal end is not loosecWhen joining connectors, push them together until they click into placedWhen replacing the handlebar switch assemblies, make sure the cables are routed correctly so they will not crimp when the handlebar is turned from side to side
3Reverse to installCheck the pilot lamp operation by applying the brake lever with the engine runningThe lamp should come on
