FUEL SYSTEM-FUEL-INJECTED MODELS CAUTION Most commercial carburetor cleaners will damage rubber O-rings, seals and plastic partsBe sure all parts that could be damaged by the cleaner are removed before using harsh cleaner

6Make sure the bore in the fuel rail is clean and smooth7Coat the O-rings with light coat of oil before inserting the nozzles into the fuel rail8Carefully slide the injector into its bore with the electrical connection toward the front9Install the retainer and tighten the two screws securely10Attach the wiring harness electrical connector to the terminals of the injector11Connect the fuel delivery hose to the inlet fitting as follows: aPush the fuel delivery hose onto the inlet fitting until the end of the hose is 20-30 mm (0.8-1.2 in past the end of the fitting
1If equipped with battery, detach the ground cable from the negative terminal of the batteryCAUTION Clean dirt and foreign matter from the area around the fuel injectors and fuel rail prior to removing the fuel injectorsAny dirt or foreign matter that falls into the fuel or the injector openings in the throttle body may cause engine damageWARNING Be prepared to plug fuel lines before gasoline begins to leak from detached hosesThe gasoline may still be under pressureGasoline is afire hazard
