15Check all hoses and connections for leaks
Cleaninginspection You must remove the fuel tank to thoroughly clean and inspect itWARNING Clean the fuel tank in an open area away from all sources offlames or sparks
2Pour about quart of fresh gasoline into the tank and slosh it around for several minutes to loosen sedimentPour the contents into sealable container3Examine the tank for cracks and abrasions, particularly at points where the tank contacts the bodyAreas that rub can be protected and cushioned by coating them with nonhardening silicone sealerAllow it to dry before installing the tankIf abrasion is extensive or if the tank is leaking, replace it
