There should be no signs of bubblesReplace the floats if necessaryFloat Height Check and Adjustment 1Remove the float bowl as described in this chapter2Remove the float bowl gasket3Invert the carburetorAllow the float ann to contact the fuel inlet valve, but do not compress the spring-loaded plunger located in the valve4Measure the distance from the float ann to the float bowl gasket surface (Figure 25)Refer to Table for float height5If the float height is incorrect, remove the float pin and float ann (28 and 29, Figure 10)Bend tang on the end of the ann to adjust6Reinstall float ann and pinRecheck the adjustment7Install float bowl as described in this chapterJet Needlerrhrottle Valve Removalllnstallation typical jet needlethrottle valve assembly is shown in Figure 261Tum the carburetor cap (A, Figure 9) counterclockwise to loosen, then withdraw the throttle slide from the carburetor2Push the throttle valve up against the springThen detach the cable from the throttle valveNOTE The magnet (Figure 27) is used to trigger the electrical switch (Figure 28) located on the side of the carburetor
