NOTE Make sure the drive shaft tang (Figure 141) and the slot in the pump shaft are aligned when installing the pump
6Install the oil injection pump using new sealing ring or gasket between the pump and the retainerTighten the two retaining screws to the torque listed in Table 107Attach the oil line to the crankcase and to each cylinder's injection fittings8On liquid-cooled models, observe the following: aLightly coat the seal surface (A, Figure 138) on the impeller with greasebInstall the impellerPush the impeller onto the shaft until seated
cMake sure the impeller retaining screw is fitted with the special washer with the rubber side toward the impellerdCoat the threads of the impeller retaining screw (Figure 128) with Loctite 242 and tighten the screw to the torque listed in Table 10ePosition the a-ring in the coolant pump cover as shown in Figure 142NOTE Apply the sealer specified in substep 8f only to the mating sUifaces of the case halves
