llAOn liquid-cooled engines, install the cylinder head so the coolant outlet or thennostat housing is to the rear (inlet side) of the enginelIBOn air-cooled engines, install the cylinder head over the studs12Lubricate the threads of cylinder head retaining studs or bolts and install fingertightObserve the following: aOn air-cooled engines, the two longer nuts should be on studs at the right side as shown in Figure 29
bOn liquid-cooled engines, seal ring (Figure 30) should be located on each of the retaining screws
