Screwdrivers are available in sets which often include an assortment of common and Phillips bladesIf you buy them individually, buy at least the following: acommon screwdriver-5116 inbladebcommon screwdriver-38 12 inbladecPhillips screwdriver-size tip, inbladeUse screwdrivers only for driving screwsNever use screwdriver for prying or chiseling metalDo not try to remove Phillips or Allen head screw with common screwdriver (unless the screw has combination head that will accept either type)If you use the improper screwdriver, you may damage the head so that the proper tool will be unable to remove itKeep screwdrivers in good condition and they will last longer and perform betterAlways keep the tip of common screwdriver in good conditionFigure 28 shows how to grind the tip to the proper shape if it becomes damagedNote the symmetrical sides of the tip
