SUSPENSION Inspection and Cleaning
1Visually inspect all component parts for damage, wear, cracks, or distortionIf damage is evident, replace with new partClean all grease, dirt, and foreign matter from the entire track drive assemblyPerform step on the opposite front idler wheel
Track Drive Installation
1On the splined end of the drive shaft assembly, install bearing retainer plate (lip facing inward), lock collar, bearing (race facing inward), "0" ring, bearing retainer plate (lip facing outward), and gasketDO NOT secure any of these components in place at this timePosition the track in the front end assemblyWhile holding the components on the drive shaft, slide the splined end through the hole in the front end assemblySplined end of drive shaft must be installed on PTa side of front end assemblyInstall the opposite end of the drive shaft through the hole on the recoil side of the front end assemblyPosition the bearing retainer plate (lip facing inward), lock collar, bearing (race facing inward), and the remaining bearing retainer plate (lip facing outward) on the drive shaftCAUTION: DO NOT use cleaning solvents on the front idler wheels or the track drive sprockets; permanent damage may result3
