TRANSMISSION (DRIVE BELT) General Drive Belt Information
The purpose of the drive belt is to transmit power from the drive pulley to the driven pulleyIf the machine is being serviced for any particular reason, observe the condition of the drive beltIf the belt is worn, cracked, or damaged in any way, it should be replacedPoor performance of the machine can also be caused by worn or damaged drive beltRoll the belt over the top of the driven pulley and toward the steering postWhen the belt is free from the driven pulley, remove the belt from the drive pulleyDrive Belt Installation
1Position the belt on the drive pulleyPosition the drive belt to the inside of the .driven pulleyRotate and pull the moveable face of the driven pulley toward the engineRotate the belt onto the driven pulley
Drive Belt Removal
1With the hood open, grasp the belt and pull up while rotating the moveable face of the driven pulley backward and toward the engineThis action will open the face of driven pulley and obtain slack in the belt3DRIVE BELT TROUBLE SHOOTING
