LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE CHART
Maintenance andor lubrication position Lubricant, lubricant quantity andor maintenance work Spark Plug The spark plug can be cleaned of carbon deposit at the insulator and electrodesFunction Check Remove spark plug, push it into the connector, ground it to the cylinder, activate the starting deviceWith properly functioning engine strong spark must jump over the electrodesSpark plug gap 0.019 in(0.5 mm}, see arrowIgnition system Check contact breaker points and adjustLubricate the lubricating pad with BOSCH special grease Ft 4Decarbonizing (see page 20) Fuel strainer Fan Carburetor Recoil starter Check the exhaust port and spark plug bore for carbon build-up and decarbonize when neededCleanse fuel strainer or replace filter insert when presentCleanse the cooling air entrance ports and fins with compressed airCleanse and adjustLubricate the spiral spring with Molykote oilCoat the housing center boss lightly with high temperature greasePull the cable through cloth wetted with SAE 10 oilPack with grease (Alvania 3)These components are lubricated with two-stroke mixture consisting of SACHS special oil for Wankel engines (0.5 liqpt= 250 C.C pre-mixed,order No2763 005 001) with gasoline to ratio of 1:50NOTE: The oils in the table on page 18 can be used in place of SACHS special oil for Wankel engines
