ENGINE SERVICING (TVVIN CYLINDER) F) 3637Connect all wiring to the wiring harnessProperly time the engine (see Timing, page 47)When the engine has been timed, replace the axial fan drive belt, fan drive pulley, and the auxiliary rope pulley with three (3) lock washers and boltsTorque the bolts to ftlbsReplace the fan cover40Replace the cylinder head cover, using ten (10) flat washers, lock washers and screwsNOTE: Two (2) of the fasteners are used to secure the spark plug lead wire retainer clips in conjunction with the cylinder head cover (see step 41)Position the spark plug lead wires under the retainer clips and secure clips in place with two (2) flat washers, lock washers and screws
Install the recoil starter assembly to the engine with three (3) lock washers and slotted boltsTighten the bolts to point just before binding of the recoil assembly occursPull the recoil rope out approximately six (6) to ten (10) inches or until the pawls engage securely, centering the recoil assemblyTorque the mounting bolts to ftlbs
