E 12Turn the drive coupling counterclockwise turnsNOTE: Make sure that the camshafts turn smoothlyIf the camshafts do not turn smoothly, reinstall camshaftsRefer to the installation steps
13Check that the portion of the timing chain is tautIf the timing chain is not taut, turn the drive coupling slightly clockwise, and then check that the timing chain is taut again
14Position piston #1 at TDCRefer to "Camshaft removal 15Check that the punch marks of the camshaft are aligned with the alignment marks on the camshaft capsIf the punch marks are not aligned, reinstall the camshafts
