HUll Cracks and punctures

Before attempting to repair any cracks or punctures, refer to the "WATER VEHICLE FRP REPAIR MANUAL"1Remove any damaged fiberglass2Cut the damaged area and separate it approximately 0.25 inch3On the outside of the hull, grind the separated edge of the area to less than 30 as shown4Working from inside the hull, grind the damaged area approximately inches beyond the damage5Clean the area with acetone, apply BP-1 or an equivalent primer onto both sides of the damaged area, and then allow it to cure for approximately 30 minutes6Cover piece of cardboard with wax paper G) and then cover the damaged area with it7Combine the polyester resin and the catalyst, and then apply the mixture onto the hull8Install glass mat (2 inches smaller than the ground area)9Apply the resin10Install 20 ozfiberglass cloth (1 inch smaller than the glass mat)11Apply the resin12Install another glass mat (1 inch smaller than the ground area)13When the resin has hardened remove the piece of cardboard14Finish the outer surfaceRefer to steps (3)(7) in the "Deep scratches" section
