PERIODIC INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT Shift Cable Adjustment Steps:
a) Remove the four screws holding the remote control unit coverRemove the four screws holding the remote control unit to the deckLift the remote control unitb) Check that shift cable joint has 15mm (0.6 in) thread engagement at the control endAdjust if necessaryc) Put the shift lever in NeutralCheck that the shift cable joints at the reverse gate end have 15mm (0.6 in) thread engagementd) Measure the clearance between the reverse gate and the bottom of the nozzleIf adjustment is necessary, screw the shift cable joints in or out until adjustment is correcte) If adjustment is difficult, inspect the shift cable junction box (see Chapter 8)AWARNING
