Section 03 ENGINE Subsection 08 (LUBRICATION SYSTEM)
Tighten oil pump cover screws and torque to 10 (89 Ibfain)Apply Loctite 243 (PIN 293 800 060) on threads
Final Test
After engine is completely reassembled, slart engine and make sure oil pressure is within specifications
Wear safety glasses and work in well ventilated area when working with strong chemical productsAlso wear suitable nonabsorbent gloves to protect your hands,
OIL SUCTION PUMP
The oil suction pu mp is located on the front side of the engine inside of the 011suction pump housing the bottom of the oil filler tube
Remove the oil suction pump housing- Remove oil pump screws no27 and cover no42,-
Removal
NOTE: The intercooler outlet hose (if so equipped) does not need to be removed to remove the oil suction pump
