Section 11 PROPULSION SYSTEM Subsection 05 (VARIABLE TRIM SYSTEM)
Install motor no8, worm and sliding shaft in VTS housing
Apply Loctite Primer (PN 293 800 041) to threads of VTS housing and Loctite 243 (blue) to nut no4Install nut with sealing washer and torque to Nm (62 lbfin) using the VTS socket tool
Boot and Clamps
Install rubber boot no3 over sliding shaft and secure with clamps
RX and RX DI Models Install: pivot arm reverse cable steering cable boot with clampsSlide the VTS rod onto the sliding shaft end using bolt no13 and nut no14Torque nut to Nm (62 lbfin)XP Models Position boot on sliding shaft and secure it with clampsInstall ball joint on LEFT side of sliding shaft no10 using bolt no13, washers no15 and nut no14Torque nut to 10 Nm (88 lbfin)2 3
