Inspect the condition of bootIf there is any damage or evidence of wear, replace itTo verify the preload of the boot no10, proceed as follows: NOTE: To verify the boot preload and free length, jet pump and drive shaft must be installedMeasure boot length when normally installed on drive shaftEnsure circlip no5 is properly installed into groove
Slide floating ring far enough forward in order to release it from carbon ringMeasure boot free lengthSubtract the installed length measurement from the free length measurementA difference of mm to 12 mm (532 in to 1532 in) should be obtainedIf the length is less than mm (532 in), install spacer (PN 293 250 017) between boot and thru hull fittingF00J04B F00J03A
