Section 11 PROPULSION SYSTEM Subsection 03 (DRIVE SYSTEM)
Bearing no16 and seals no15 can be easily removed using the bearingseal remover tool (PN 295 000 144)
Excessive deflection could cause vibration and damage to drive shaft splines, impeller, flywheel or floating ring (seal carrier depending upon the model)Place drive shaft on V-blocks and set-up dial gauge in center of shaftSlowly rotate shaft; difference between highest and lowest dial gauge reading is deflectionRefer to the following illustrationMaximum permissible deflection is 0.5 mm (.020 in)
