Trigger Coil Verification
947 Engines STATIC TEST: CONTINUITY 1Disconnect magneto wiring harness connector2Install the 6-pin magneto harness adapter (PN 295 000 136)
5Crank engine and note resultThe obtained value should be between 0.2 and 0.5 Vac6If the trigger coil is out of specification, replace it
Ignition Coil Verification
STATIC TEST NOTE: An ignition coil with good resistance measurement can still be faultyVoltage leak can occur at high voltage level which is not detectable with an ohmmeter717 Engines Primary Winding

3Connect one of the multimeter probes to the WHITE wire of the 6-pin magneto harness adapter4Connect the other multimeter probe to the BLACKYELLOW wire of the 6-pin magneto harness adapter5Measure resistance; it should be between 190300 ohms
