Section 08 FUEL SYSTEM Subsection 03 (AIR INTAKE)
Inspect condition of gasket no9Make sure to properly install gasketAll 947 Engines

Air Intake Silencer
Ensure that support plate edges no14 are properly crimped to air intake silencerUse pliers as necessaryMake sure that gaskets no11 are installed into carburetor holes of air intake silencer or throttle bodies on DI enginesCheck O-rings no12 on carburetor intake adaptors or throttle bodies on DI engines and change them if necessaryNOTE: Apply Super Lube grease (PN 293 550 014) to mating surface of air intake silencer no1Install air intake silencer on carburetor intake adaptor or throttle bodies on DI engines and latch in placeClip air intake silencer back in place
All 947 Engines NOTE: Make sure the air intake silencer is retained by the lower bracket no4Place protector pads on duct supportsUse slot in rubber to insert pad on bracket eyeletSide tongue of protector pad should be toward outside of vehicle and bent downward toward the exhaust flangePut air ducts in intake adapters and secure them on duct supports with hexagonal screws no13, wide washers, narrow washers and elastic stop nutsA slight lift will be required to make the bolts line up with brackets1 8
