Carbon Dam Replacement Remove direct injectorSee procedure aboveNOTE: When replacing carbon dam, it is recommended to replace it on both injectorsIt is also recommended to replace all O-ringsWhen servicing airfuel rail or direct injectors, we recommend replacing carbon dams that have been running for 50 hours or moreCAUTION: Never reuse carbon dam after it has been removed from the injectorAlways install new oneRemove carbon dam and O-ring using small pickInstall seal guide (PN 529 035 715) on end of injectorCarefully slide carbon dam in injector grooveUse carbon dam compressor (PN 529 035 716) to compress carbon dam evenly

Pressure Test
The pressure test will show the available pressure from the fuel pumpEnsure there is no leak from hoses and fittingsRepair any leakEnsure there is enough gas in fuel tankUse the VCK (Vehicle Communication Kit) to release the fuel pressure in the systemLook in the Activation section of the software B.U.D.SDisconnect inlet and outlet hoses from fuel pump using tool (PN 529 035 714)Connect adapters and pressure relief valve to pressure gauge as shownF12R0AA
