REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: When MPEM is replaced, the safety lanyard(s), the TPS closed position and the TDC setting must be reprogrammedresetRefer to their specific section for adjustment
Loosen Allen screw retaining the CPSRemove the CPSAt installation, apply Loctite 243 (blue) on the Allen screwNOTE: Clean treads prior installing screw
THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS)
Remove the air intake silencerRemove the flame arresterRemove the air temperature sensor to ease removal of the TPSDisconnect the connector of the TPSLoosen Allen screws retaining the TPSRemove TPS
FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY
Open the front storage compartment coverRemove the storage basketRemove the glove boxDisconnect the wire connector from the fuel pump assemblyDisconnect fuel vent hose from fuel pump assemblyCover the quick connect fitting with shop towelPress on both tabs and disconnect the quick connect fitting
