NOTE: The liquid level in cylinder must not drop for few seconds after fillingIf so, there is leak between piston and cylinderThe recorded volume would be false5Let burette stand upward for about 10 minutes, until liquid level is stabilized6Read the burette scale to obtain the quantity of liquid injected in the combustion chamberCompare the obtained value with the table belowThe volume should be within the allowable rangeIf the volume of the combustion chamber is not within specifications, change cylinder base gasket thickness as followA higher volume dictates thinner gasketA lower volume dictates thicker gasketAll Engines except DI NOTE: When the combustion chamber is filled to top of spark plug hole, it includes an amount of 2.39 cc corresponding to the spark plug tipThe following table of combustion chamber volume includes this valueAll Engines
