DISASSEMBLY
Reverse Gate
To remove reverse gate, refer to JET PUMP section
INSPECTION
Visually inspect parts for wear or cracksReplace all defective parts
Reverse Cable
Unscrew bolt no12, washers and the elastic stop nut retaining reverse cable no13 on pivot armRemove the glove boxRefer to HULLBODYOn the interior lever no14, unscrew the elastic stop nut and the washer retaining the reverse cableNOTE: Before removing reverse cable from hull, note cable routing for reinstallation
ASSEMBLY
Assembly is essentially the reverse of disassembly proceduresHowever pay particular attention to the following
Inner Lever
Apply synthetic grease on the inner lever pivot and in the reverse cable support holeInstall the inner lever in rotating movementEngage properly the inner lever tabs in the shift lever slotsMake sure the shift lever action is smooth and preciseForward and reverse positions should be easy to select with detent position between each
