NOTE: If maintenance message (MAINT) continues to blink, it indicates fault with the fuel injection system on Di modelsRefer to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES sectionVerification The PURPLE wire is the 12 Vdc power source of the Information CenterThe BLACK wire is the groundThe REDPURPLE wire is the 12 Vdc from the batteryIt is protected by fuse on the MPEM; the fuse "MPEM" on the carburetor-equipped models and the fuse "ACC" fuse on DI modelsThe accuracy of some features of the Information Center can be checked with potentiometerFuel Level Disconnect the 4-circuit connector housing of the Information CenterUsing an appropriate terminal remover, remove the PINK wire from the tab housingReconnect the connector housingDisconnect the 2-circuit connector housing which contains PURPLE and BLACK wiresRemove the BLACK wire from the receptacle housingReconnect the connector housingConnect potentiometer test probes to the PINK and BLACK wiresAdjust potentiometer to the resistance values as per following chart to test the accuracy of the gaugeNOTE: The gauge must be activated to obtain readingRESISTANCE ()2.2 17.8 2.2 27.8 2.2 37.8 2.2 47.8 2.2 57.8 2.2 67.8 2.2 77.8 2.2 89.0 2.2
