Section 08 LUBRICATION SYSTEM Subsection 03 (OIL INJECTION PUMP)
Refer to CARBURETOR or THROTTLE BODY for throttle cable adjustment procedureNOTE: On Carburetor-Equipped Models, make sure carburetors are properly synchronizedTurn oil pump cable adjustment nut to align reference marks on pumpNOTE: mirror may be used to facilitate this verificationNOTE: The adjuster knob and jam nut for the oil injection pump cable are located on the oil pump cable1 2

If necessary, turn cable adjustment nut to obtain pump mark alignmentRefer to above illustrationsTighten jam nut and recheck alignment marksCAUTION: Proper oil injection pump adjustment is very importantAny delay in the opening of pump can result in serious engine damage
Bleeding
CAUTION: Oil injection system must be bled and adjustment checked before operating engineEnsure oil injection reservoir is sufficiently filledInstall dry rag below oil injection pumpLoosen bleed screw to allow oil to flowKeep bleeding until all air has escaped from lineMake sure no air bubbles remain in oil supply lineTighten bleed screwWipe any oil spillageCheck small oil lines of pumpThey must be full of oilF07G08A
