Carburetor-Equipped Models Inspect fuel filter conditionCarefully use low pressure compressed air to clean fuel filterReplace filter if permanently clogged or damaged
Fuel Filter Bowl
Check filter bowl for water contamination

Inspect gasket conditionMake sure gasket no3 is well positioned into the filter bowl no21
TYPICAL 1Disconnect fuel hoses 2Loosen lower clamp
Disconnect wiring harness of fuel senderRemove baffle from fuel tankRemove upper clamp no9 from adapter no8 and slide adapter from bafflePush inward on the clips at the base of the baffle in order to remove the filterPry base off using small slotted screwdriver (if necessary)
