Combustion Chamber Volume Measurement
All Engines NOTE: This procedure is required to determine gasket thickness if you do not know the gasket thickness that was installed, if crank repair has involved replacement of connecting rods or if you are experiencing repetitive engine seizureThe combustion chamber volume is the region in the cylinder head above the piston at Top Dead CenterIt is measured with the cylinder head installed on the engine
947 DI Engines 1Remove both direct injectors and bring one piston to Top Dead Center using TDC gaugeKeep spark plugs in their holesAll 947 Engines 2Obtain graduated burette (capacity50 cc) and fill with an equal part (5050) of gasoline and injection oil
